Bloomberg’s new offices in London is nearly complete with the building already partly in use. The Building is constructed to the highest possible environmentally friendly standards (at the time of writing). So whilst appearing to be a shades of bronze and gold it is actually very green.
Architect Norman foster and owner Bloomberg set out from the early stages to make a very energy efficient and sustainable building. It is located in the city between St Paul’s Cathedral and Cannon street making it well connected to local and national rail services.
The development is divided into two buildings connected with a multistory bridge bridge on the upper levels. Beneath the bridge the builders have retained the space previously occupied by an ancient Roman road which is now a pedestrianised street.
